Multimodal Neuroprosthesis for Daily Upper limb Support

MUNDUS: Multimodal Neuroprosthesis for Daily Upper limb Support

Consortium as a whole
The consortium is composed by four national clusters: one from Italy, one from Switzerland, one from Austria and one from Germany. The Italian cluster is composed by research groups, industries and clinical entities.
The [P1] POLIMI and the [P5] VALDUCE have a well established collaboration focusing on rehabilitation engineering and clinical evaluation of novel neurorobotic approaches in clinical practice. Besides, two Italian SMEs are collaborating to the project.
[P7] ABACUS has expertise in Assistive technologies and RFID solutions.
[P9] CF Consulting is expert in the management and dissemination.
[P8] HOCOMA, from Switzerland, represents the most relevant industrial partner, their core business is on innovative robotic technologies for rehabilitation. P8 HOCOMA is the most relevant industrial partner, strongly committed to a wide system exploitation.
[P8] HOCOMA is sided by [P4] ETHZ research group which has a strong background on the design of biorobotic devices and NP.
[P3] TUW has a relevant biomechanical background.
In [P2] TUB, two main expertise are exploited: BCI design and Adaptive learning control for NP.
[P6] FRAUNHOFER has a strong background on adaptive learning algorithms and has a Living Lab facility to be exploited in the evaluation phase.
